Mistress Surreal
Mistress Surreal is fairly active and enjoys a wide variety of hobbies. She does chainmaille, which she does on commission. She is also interested in leatherwork and hopes to expand her skills in the years to come. She has completed a Bachelors of Psychology and plans to return to Grad school to complete her PhD, although this may be a few years in the coming. She is a huge animal lover, owning three adorable ferrets, a cat, and a royal balled python.
She got her start in promotions with a youth group that she joined at a young age. In this group she learned the basics of event organization and promotions. A few years into her involvement, she joined with a few of her friends to form a DJ group called The Ruffneck Crew. From this beginning, Mistress Surreal went on to DJ several youth group dances, weddings, and corporate functions. As school began to become more demanding, she retired from the decks.
Her involvement with Descent started because of her organizational skills and work schedule, which does not usually allow her to go out on Fridays and Saturdays, and her extreme need to continue to go dancing once a week.
In 2008, she decided to expand the work she has been doing with Descent and formed Fallen People Entertainment . With the help of a few others, Mistress Surreal hopes to expand this business to to her own Gothic club. In the mean time, this company serves to try to strengthen the Vancouver Alternative community.
